Above we see three monsignori of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham putting heads together at the start of the latest gathering of Ordinariate Clergy being hosted in the church of St. Patrick’s in Soho.
This morning an address on recusant history being delivered by the distinguished scholar, Eamon Duffy whose knowledge of the reformation period is second to none. We are grateful for his input and support.
Then after lunch an opportunity to explore the new Ordinariate Rite which has been approved for public use by the Vatican. Very closely aligned to the traditional Roman Rite it also draws from the richest material of the Anglican tradition.
We also heard about a letter being sent to parishes in England and Wales from Archbishop Vincent Nichols, to explain the Ordinariate better to those who remain in the dark and to show clear support for our future role and function within the wider Catholic Church. This too is welcome news.
Step by step then, day by day the vision is being built and our future looks promising. Exciting days to be a Catholic and a member of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham. Pray today for the conversion of England and unity of Christians in fidelity to truth.
